Transportation Economics/TOD Associate Position Open
An Associate will typically work on several projects/proposals at one time and must be well organized and able to multitask. Current projects include: TOD on Baltimore Red Line, regional freight rail on the Delmarva peninsula, alternatives analysis in Raleigh-NC and other market and transportation-related project. Typically, projects are diversified and include: market and demographic analysis, financial / pro forma assessments, economic development planning, transit oriented development (TOD), land use, developer solicitations, public/private partnership strategy planning and economic and fiscal impacts. Developing and maintaining productive working relationships with clients and undertaking business development activities, including proposal writing and marketing and setting teaming arrangements are also key responsibilities.
Required: Candidates must have a bachelors degree in planning, business/economics, finance or related. 1-2 years experience in consulting or related field. Masters in similar related field preferred.
Candidates should be highly proficient in transportation/TOD analysis, real estate development economics, market analysis, quantitative analysis, financial analysis, data collection and research. Candidates must have solid analytic, organizational, writing and presentation skills as well as a commitment to producing quality products. Candidates must also be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite 2007 (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and be familiar working with and integrating graphics, tables and images into Office Suite documents.
Salaries and benefits are competitive, based on experience, and are augmented by performance-based bonus compensation. The successful candidate must also be willing and able to travel, when necessary.
